Taibah Center for Strategic Studies (TCSS)

TCSS is a school-based academic and research initiative operating under Taibah School. As a non-profit and non-partisan body, the Center is dedicated to becoming a leading youth-driven strategic research hub contributing to long-term sustainable development in The Gambia, with a special focus on the Upper River Region (URR)

Mission:

  • To conduct research on social, economic, and developmental challenges.
  • To produce and publish long-term strategic studies and development plans.
  • To leverage modern technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), in research and analysis.
  • To empower students with research, leadership, and analytical skills.

Core Objectives:

  • Publish strategic reports and policy papers.
  • Utilize AI tools and data analysis to enhance research quality.
  • Organize seminars, discussions, and workshops.
  • Build a database of development challenges and solutions.

  • Student Membership: Open to all students of Taibah School who wish to participate in research and leadership.
  • Professional & Advisory Members: We invite professionals with expertise in education, agriculture, economics, engineering, health, and technology to join as contributing advisors.

7. Organizational Structure

Leadership Team:

  • Director: Provides overall leadership and strategic direction.
  • Head of Research: Designs studies and ensures academic quality.
  • AI & Data Analysis Unit: Responsible for data processing and the ethical use of AI tools in our research.
